Furry characters often have fewer than 5 fingers, or fewer than 5 toes. Also, it is possible but uncommon to have more than 5 fingers or toes. This section provides guidance on how to best map such scenarios to RCSF. Like with the individual toe joints, the polydactyl pre and post names are uncommon, and therefore not included in the tree, tables, or CSV to avoid confusing and overloading readers with irrelevant niche information; their existence is contained to this section.
